we, 'Gharowa', are an established committed cosmopolitan cultural organisation of ranchi, dedicated to the spread of indian classical music.

our mission is to bring more and more people, especially children, into the fold of our great living tradition, to felicitate the outgoing generation of classical musicians and to encourage talents by periodically showcasing them.

it is heartening that our efforts have been acknowledged by the people in general, and the movement has already gained momentum. we have, among our patrons and active members, a large number of senior technical executives from the numerous industrial, consultancy and administrative organisations of ranchi, in addition to the city elite from many walks.

apart from last few years of regular monthly programmes, we have been able to organise two successful annual concerts in the past two years, inviting classical artistes from all over the country. we enjoy a large elite gathering at our functions. a souvenir worth collecting is published every year on the day of the annual function. it contains valuable articles and informations including artistes' bio-data and performance details, and the souvenir enjoys a wide circulation and appreciation. we also make video cd recordings of our programmes, which may be procured from us at a nominal cost.

this time, enthused by the response, we wish to organise a bigger annual show on 26-08-'06, offering a daylong concert of variety indian classical musical performance.
we also wish to publish a more enriched programme souvenir this year, containing good articles in three languages, artistes' introductions, last years' programmes' details etc. our last souvenirs were also quite good and enjoyed wide circulation and substantial appreciation.
