'Gharowa'is dedicated to indian classical music. our mission is to bring people, especially children, into the fold of the living tradition, to felicitate classical musicians and to encourage talents by showcasing them. apart from regular monthly programmes, the fiftieth of which shall closely follow our grand fourth annual concert on 21st december 2007, we had organised three annual concerts,inviting artistes from all over the country.

GHAROWA's young talents find well-deserved national recognition
Two of GHAROWA's young and talented members have won a rare distinction-
The prestigious India Govt. scholarship award of the HRD...the coveted CCRT award.
Nayanika Roy, disciple of famous Odissi danseuse Smt Sabita Mishra,
and daughter of Shri Jyotibikash Roy won it for her Odissi dance and
Soumitra Thakur, disciple of famous young Sitar Artiste Shri Debapriya Thakur and son of Shri Uttam Thakur, won it for his Sitar performance.
